Fix Oculus/Meta Quest Link App Freezing on Windows – Constant Repair Issue Solution

If you’re facing constant freezes and forced repair loops with the Meta Quest Link app on Windows, follow this guide to stabilize your setup and resolve hand tracking issues on Quest 3.

Step 1: Run Quest Link as Administrator

• Right-click the app icon
• Select “Run as Administrator”
• This bypasses permission-based startup crashes

Step 2: Full Uninstall and Clean Reinstall

1. Uninstall the app via Control Panel
2. Manually delete files in C:\Program Files\Oculus and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Oculus
3. Re-download from Meta Quest Setup

Step 3: Turn Off GPU Scheduling

In Windows Settings → Graphics → Turn off “Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling”

Step 4: Use Air Link as a Backup
